How to Find the Trend Day Trading Futures

Day trading futures can be extremely challenging. There are several market maxims to trade by. One is the trend is your friend. When you want to initiate positions that go with the trend. Imagine a boulder rolling down a hill you wouldn't want to stand in front of that because the momentum of that boulder has the potential to crush you. This is the same concept in day trading futures. If there is a clear trend for the day in one direction you want to take the path of least resistance and not fight the trend. So how do you identify the trend for the day so you can be on the right side? Here are two tools to help you do just that.

I Tick, You Tick, We All Tick

One of the tools I used to identify whether bulls or bears are in control of the market while is using the NYSE Up/Down Tick Ratio or ticks for short. On most platforms the ticks can be found by using the following symbol $ TICK. The $ tick represents the number of stocks going up minus the number of stocks going down on the New York Stock Exchange. If the $ tick reads +500, that means that there are 500 more stocks going up than there are going down on the NYSE. When day trading futures you want use the ticks keeping a few rules in mind. First you want to block out readings from a + or 600 they are just noise. Second, watch for + or 800 tick reading this is a sign of a trend. What you are looking for is the ticks to consistently hit + or 800. Third, you want to fade the first + or 1000 tick reading, but only the first one. If there are multiple + or 1000 tick readings that is a clear trend and you only want to initiate short or long positions in that tick direction when day trading futures.

Volume Spread Analysis
The second tool I use to identify the intraday trend while is the comparing the up volume to the down volume also known as the volume spread. When a stock trades up by a penny or more than its last close the volume on that trade is counted as up volume. When a stock trades lower by a penny or more than its last close the volume is counted as down volume. When you combine those two numbers you have the volume spread. You can look at the volume spread on any time chart and I prefer the 5 minute. This is a valuable day trading futures tool especially for trading the close because you can quickly see whether bulls or bears have been in control of the market throughout the day. The symbol for the volume spread in Tradestation is $ VOLSPD and in the ThinkorSwim platform it is $ UVOL-$ DVOL.

Exotic Hunting In The Texas Hill Country

One does not have to travel to the far regions of Africa to enjoy a good hunt for exotic animals as the Texas Hill Country has become quite notorious for such.

The Texas Hill Country, located directly between Austin and San Antonio, has become a notorious exotic animal hunting region. Its rolling hills are covered with cedar and oak, which is separated by grassy pastures making it the perfect habitat for a number of exotic game species. These species include animals from North Africa, India, Nepal and China. There is the emu, fallow deer, barasingha, Addax antelope, Blackbuck antelope, Axis deer, red stag, red sheep, scimitar horn oryx, zebras, bison and more.

Do to the number of exotic animals in this region, hunting is permitted year around with a state hunting license. There are a number of licensed guides in the area to help you along the way. These guides usually have permits and access to ranches and property for hunting.

Where do all these exotic animals come from? Many of these animals had originally been imported by collectors and hunters who have private ranches. Many of these animals have escaped and established themselves by the tens of thousands around southern Texas and particularly in the Hill Country. Now the overpopulation of these varieties has become a problem.

The executive director of the Exotic Wildlife Association, Charly Seale, says that there are nearly 400,000 exotics living behind high fences in Texas. In addition there are 50,000 to 60,000 free-ranging exotics living outside of these fences. He adds, the populations have been growing at a rate of 10 percent a year. Owners of herds manage their population by allowing routine hunting. One ranch owner said they try to shoot 30 black bucks a year and 10 to 20 axis deer.

The hunting of these exotic trophy animals has not only been a boon for hunters but for locals as well. Hunts can start at ,500 for black bucks and axis deer and go up from there for super exotics such as bison and kudu. Texas A&M studies have shown that the exotic animal business in Texas has assisted the economy by about .3 billion. For the Nature Conservancy, they see the hunters playing a key role in managing free-ranging exotics.

For those who hire hunting guides, their fee usually covers a two to four day package which includes the daily hunt fee, meals, lodging and guiding services. There are additional costs that vary according to the type of animal hunted to if an animal is wounded and survives after being shot so ask your guide about these fees.

Whether you're hunting with a gun or bow, you must purchase a license, which is sold at most local grocery stores. Nonresidents of Texas will need a valid Non-Resident Special Hunting License (Type 107) or Non-Resident 5-Day Special Hunting License (Type 157). Exotics that can be legally hunted include animals that are ungulates, that is grass- or plant-eating, single-or cloven-hoofed mammals that are not native to Texas. This list includes: aoudad sheep, axis deer, fallow deer, elk, bison, blackbuck antelope, feral hog, sika deer, scimitar-horned oryx, wildebeest, ibex, mouflon, Texas dahl sheep, Catalina goat, gemsbok, markhor, impala, eland, barasinga (Indian swamp deer) and other species. Hunting of ratites (emu, rhea, ostrich, cassowary) is also allowed.

Hollister Jeans Fitting Too Small

I may be one of last of my friends group that hasn't ventured into a Hollister store. Walking through the mall I almost passed it up because the beach shack storefront made me think it was a restaurant not a clothing store. It's actually more of an experience than a shopping event. It was refreshing to be greeted as if I were more than a walking credit card with a high unused credit limit. The friendly the staff was actually willing to help me find a great pair of Hollister jeans.

Hollister is all about the casual look looking terrific while just hanging out. I'm actually starting to feel a little energized as I think of myself with an entirely new look. My main focus is to pick up a new pair of jeans. Being a slave to fashion is not my thing. Lucky for me, they are all about the distressed look. They have a great selection and much of would appeal to a much younger set. Pink embroidery and flowers don't exactly thrill me as much as it does the Hannah Montana set.

Their sizing goes from 0 to 11. I figure that a 5 will be about right. My ever so helpful sales associate bounces over to help me to the dressing room. I've grabbed five different pairs of Hollister jeans all pretty similar in their look. It will be a tough choice between the low rise, the flare, the hipster, the button fly and the stretch.

Heading for the dressing room is never a pleasant experience for me. But I'm feeling energized new jeans what a concept! As I put my left leg into the first pair of jeans, I have a problem. I can barely get them over my thighs..no way will they get around my hips. Obviously they are mismarked for size. No problem I have four other choices. It is now recognised that significant numbers of people receiving long periods of critical care in intensive care (ITU) can develop symptoms of neuropathy. But what exactly is critical care neuropathy? How does it develop? And could medical professionals have done anything to prevent it?

What is Critical Care Neuropathy?

Neuropathy is when a patient in intensive care suffers damage to the peripheral nervous system (the nervous system that lies outside the brain and spinal cord). This in turn causes a collection of disorders. The way in which neuropathy develops in a critical care setting remains unclear, but it is known that major risk factors include prolonged periods of sepsis and multi organ failure.

A patient with critical care neuropathy will often describe a tingling or burning sensation in the affected area, while pain and numbness in the hands and feet is another common symptom. As the nervous system controls movement and sensation, patients will also usually experience:-

* Reduced and/or increased sensation to touch;

* Generalised muscle weakness;

When a patient is diagnosed with critical care neuropathy, it is important to rule out an underlying cause - for example, diabetes. Treatment can then be started to help a patient cope with neuropathy pain. However, regularly-used painkillers such as paracetamol will usually prove ineffective, so other medication must be used. These often cause a variety of side-effects, so it may take a patient time to find the right medication to control their symptoms.

Open And Closed Systems In Macroeconomics

A Closed system is a structure whereby boundaries that should not be exceeded are clearly defined. If there are any variables present within the system, they are also identified and defined (Hein & Stockhammer, 2011; Hein & Truger, 2007). According to Hein and Stockhammer (2011), a closed system can also be referred to as an open model because all the exogenous variables are clearly defined and are known. Therefore, there is no change of environment in which the variables are operating in. According to classical economics, the main goal of any organisation is to attain economic efficiency (Hein &Truger, 2007). They conclude that initially, organisations operated within closed systems.

Thus, they were rational entities of economics. There are two characteristics that emerge when considering closed system economics. Closed systems are entirely deterministic and can be predicted (Hein & Stockhammer, 2011). It is easy to predict the outcomes in a closed system since the initial circumstances and incentives are well known. Classical economists developed the closed economic system (Hein & Truger, 2007). The main aim of coming up with the closed system was to eliminate the effects of the external environment in economic operations. Closed systems tend to follow bureaucratic stages set to carry out various activities (Gwartney, Stroup, Sobel & MacPherson, 2010).

In a closed system, the new Keynesian and new classical theories are placed within clearly identified boundaries of economics. The monetarist Keynesian arguments are classified as ideological and thus falling outside the economic realm . According to this model, an organisation should factor in the effects of the environment when managing its business . On the other hand, an open system is where there are no defined boundaries within the system, and any variables present are not defined nor explained (Hein & Truger, 2007). An open system is not an exact opposite of a closed system. This is because when there is one component that is not defined in a system, the system is categorised as an open system.

An open system is grounded on the biological aspect. In this system, elements cannot be easily determined nor predicted as there are uncertainties prevailing in the external environment (Gwartney, Stroup, Sobel & MacPherson, 2010).In the concept of an organisation, external factors affecting an open system can be beyond the control of the organisation (Gwartney, Stroup, Sobel & MacPherson, 2010). These external factors may include political influence, societal effects and ecological changes among others. However, this results into a very effective organisation.

Circular Flow
Inner and Outer Flows in a Closed System Circular flow is used to show how money flows within a complex economy. In the economy, various processes are involved such as households, governments, foreign agents and businesses. In a circular flow of money, we can think on two processes; one for business and the other for households. Production factors obtained by businesses include land, capital and labour. We find that business go to the factor market while households go to the goods market (Jespersen, 2009). Households use the income received as payments (wages and salaries) for services offered to business to purchase goods and services from other businesses. Conversely, businesses use the money received from households to buy factors of production they require. Thus, money flows in a circular motion within the economy (Gwartney, Stroup, Sobel & MacPherson, 2010).

For example, when a consumer is paid for the services he offered to a business, he uses the money to purchases a book from a bookshop. The bookshop uses the money received to buy printing papers or hire labour for editing books. This circular flow of money illustrates the flow of money within a closed system economy. Thus, in a circular flow of money only domestic exchanges are considered and no involvement of foreign agents is factored.

When the government, foreign agents or saving system are not involved in the economic system, there are usually no leakages in the system such as taxes (Hein & Stockhammer, 2011). In an open system, we find that businesses and households purchase their requirements both locally and internationally. When households purchase goods from international markets, taxes that flow into the domestic economy are charged (Jespersen, 2009). On the other hand, when businesses move to foreign markets seeking factors of production, they transfer rent and wages for services to the foreign markets. For example, when a book author from United States publishes his book in China, he creates a leakage in the domestic system.

Inner and Outer Flows in a Closed System
An open system considers the flow of money both domestically and internationally between countries. The demand for imports from a foreign economy consists of goods for investment, consumption of government goods. The import depends on income level, the interest rate among other factors. As highlighted by Mundell and Fleming, in an open economy, the export demand from a foreign economy depends on the currency exchange rate and the income level (Gwartney, Stroup, Sobel & MacPherson, 2010). Another leakage in the open economic system is through the savings of the households (Hall & Lieberman, 2009). This can either be in the bank accounts or stock markets. In turn, the money flows to the financial sector and it is credited to other businesses or households. The households use loans to purchase goods such as vehicles, seats, mortgages among others (Jespersen, 2009). Alternatively, businesses use the loans they receive to purchase factors of production such as machinery. Therefore, the flow of money to the financial sector from households under the term savings is a leakage into the economic system.

For example, if one of the above happens to be the biggest dealer in your area, they may be able to offer you special deals that a smaller dealer can't.Of course, things change all the time with captive auto lenders. They change their credit guidelines on a whim to meet their own financial goals. So, it's always a good idea to at least research these dealershipsjust don't get your hopes up too high.OK, so you've done your research and narrowed down your choice to one or two car manufacturers.Step 2 in making a lease or buy decision is to purchase your FICO credit scores. It's important you have your most recent scores when you talk to car dealers (just like I did with Amy). It puts you in charge.When you enter a dealership with your FICO scores, the dealer will know you're a more informed consumer and cannot be taken advantage of. Just know that the FICO credit scores auto dealers use are a little different than what we see as consumers. The scores the dealers review are called FICO Auto Industry Option Scores. The good news...these FICO scores may be higher than your normal FICO scores if you paid all previous auto loans as agreed.Some car dealers have told me that if your FICO scores are higher than the scores the dealer reviewsthey may even use your scores to get a better deal. You can buy your scores from myFICO.com.Step 3 is to interview the remaining car dealers on a deeper level. Start by asking them these questions: - Which credit reporting agency do you use to make a lending decision? - What is your minimum credit score requirement to get approved? - What credit score is needed to get the best interest rate? - Do your lenders prefer offering lease or purchase financing to a bankrupt debtor? - What incentives are there to lease or purchase right now?At this point it's important to remain open to either leasing or purchasing. Evaluate your options and incentives. Remember, you're buying the financing. In other words, the most important factor is the willingness of the lender to loan you money.I personally view the lease versus buy decision in three ways:1. If you're recently recovering from bankruptcy, the only thing that matters is if you can get approved at an interest rate you can afford through a lender that reports to all three national credit reporting agencies. So you should only consider lenders that are bankruptcy friendly.2. Once your credit scores begin to increase, you can start selecting cars based on which credit reporting agency the lender uses to determine if you qualify. Obviously, you should choose the lender who uses your highest FICO credit score to make a lending decision.3. When your scores are high enough...or two years have passed after your bankruptcy...or your bankruptcy doesn't appear on the credit report the lender uses, then you can choose almost any car you like. But make sure you still do your research and use your credit scores to help you compare interest rates, terms and incentives.
